With such speed, I would expect the car to be literally annihilated. The only way the front would not get mashed, would be turning the car so only the back side would be damaged. If that was the case, it would explain how he only got hurt, but there would be no way to survive...

I mistakenly thought Kyo's personality change only began two years prior to the story. I also didn't think Kazuya actively chose to avoid Kyo for years, and obviously, Kyo never tried to make any contact either. I feel bad for Jun, who's stuck in between this drama.

Perception Art time

This episode was kind of confusing...what happened with his parents after all? I hope we will get answers by Kyo soon. While plot wise it was a strong episode, I felt like it lacked of emotional expression...

That's not confusing! that's the mystery! We're obviously going to get a traumatic shot of what actually happened, because it's hinted at that Kyo saw how they died, since Kazuya didn't.

The fragments of Kazuya's memories are the confusing part. If he was unconscious the entire time and he only remembered the crush but not his parents getting away barely scratched, it wouldn't be as confusing. Because seeing them surviving at first from such a crush is insane to start with. Then it raises questions like, if they didn't die there, then how?
And how is Kyo responsible for it, as he did say it's his fault? Did they die saving him?

There was an explosion as they were leaving the car crash. I'm guessing they adults shielded the children with thier bodies and the injuries from that killed them.

That's my only possible guess too.

:) ooh and also. I have two predictions ab Kyo thinking why our mc would hate him. One. Kyo’s dad is involved in the parents death (the dad mentioned he was the only grader among them and I keep wondering about kyos mom. Mc’s mom’s comment about why she would marry kyos dad. The latter might have just been a usual jab among friends, but as always my imagination runs wild). The other prediction is that it has something to do with the protestors. I was seriously expecting Kazuya to witness his parents get gunned down when they were running from the accident.

I believe what happened to Kazuya Parents is that they shielded the kids from the explosion and that is what killed them. Or it could just be a figment of their imagination of them leaving the car with the parents. Not sure which... ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I was thinking our Adrenaline is at its highest during an emergency so the parents got them out away from the car then died after reaching safety.

Actually, the protests would make a lot of sense if there were rumors or evidence of human experiments during the prototype stages of Perception Art.

Did one of the protesters yell that or whatt? but if not then that'd just be an insanely wild assumption like how were they experiments it's VR

According to the news report, Perception Art was considered dangerous because it could be felt, so therefore it could cause pain. I figured if the anime really wanted to be serious, they should give a good reason for the protests, like there being proof of people being hurt by Perception Art.

I wonder what made Kazuya decide he absolutely had to reconcile with Kyo in high school?

When you start a new school you get the feeling of "starting anew" so that was probably the push for him to try to start over again. or maybe this entire time he had been thinking "I just need to right setting" (that being perception school) "and then I'll get along with Kyo again" or something.

Wait, but... it didn't explain how did Kazuya's parents die if they were seen saving the children and aside from some scratches, they were running healthy! Poor Kazuya and Kyo! Now we will have to see Kyo's side of the story and why he avoided Kazuya, but I think he just blamed himself for their death! :'(
